The only other biodegradable plastic free bristles, would be pig or badger hair which would not be acceptable. We know this isn't perfect, however we are working hard to find an alternative which provides optimal protection to your teeth and the planet!

We, as dentists recommend medium bristles. Our bristles are perfectly designed to not be too soft, which doesn't effectively remove plaque and not be too hard to cause damage to your teeth and gums.

Our bamboo toothbrushes with proper care and attention will last as long as traditional plastic toothbrushes. As dentists, we recommend you change your brush every 3 months or when you see the bristles starting to splay.

After brushing for two minutes, give it a thorough rinse with tap water. Dry the brush with a towel and leave it out on a dry surface. As our bamboo is a natural material, you may notice some minor colour changes over time.

Simply twist and pull off the detachable head and safely compost your bamboo handle. Our brushes will naturally decompose and return to the soil in approximately six months. You can remove the bristles with pliers and recycle them if you choose to. If you choose not to, you can simply place the detachable head in the recycle bin.

Our Bamboo Toothbrushes are made in China, the natural habitat of Moso Bamboo. They grow approximately one metre a day in these perfect conditions. We hand pick your products from our office here in the United Kingdom.

The reason we chose Moso Bamboo is because we didn't want to steal food from our Panda's. Moso Bamboo is entirely inedible to Panda's and only grown commercially.
